Chinese Work (Z) Visa

DOCUMENTS to be prepared in your Chinese Work Visa Application Package

1. Your original and valid passport

Must be valid for at least 6 months before it expires with last least 2 blank visa pages left.

If not, please visit our website to see how to Renew or Add Pages to your passport

2. A completed visa application form Q1 (Download Q1 Form) AND a photocopy of it.

3. A completed supplementary visa application form (Download here) is needed.

4. One photograph (Must be stapled on the application. 2'x2' , front face, white or white off background)

5. If you will teach in a Chinese university, an Original Foreign Expert License issued from China Education Committee And a photocopy of if are needed.

If you will work for a Chinese company, an Original Foreign Employee Work Permit issued from China Labor Bureau AND a photocopy of it are needed.

6. Original AND a photocopy of Visa Notification Form issued from related Chinese government is needed.

(It is your inviting university or company's responsibility to obtain above Item 4 and 5 from Chinese government and send them to you for your to apply for Chinese Work Visa.)

7. For China Born US citizen, the following documents are needed

A. If it is the first time to use US passport to apply for a Chinese visa, submit your original Chinese passport together with your US passport. (Both passports will be returned upon approval of the visa.)

B. OR, if you have a previous Chinese visa, submit the photocopy of your previous Chinese visa together with your US passport.

C. Chinese name in Chinese Characters is needed on Chinese visa application form.

8. For Non US citizen, the following documents are needed

A. Proof of legal status in USA: a copy of US green card, or F1, H1, I-20, etc...

B. AND a completed supplementary form (download here).

9. A money order or cashier's check or company check payable to Metropolitan Express with Related Fees.

10. Method for Shipping Back Your Passport

A. Additional $15 needed for FedEx 2_3 workday delivery (trackable and insured)

Or additional $25 needed for FedEx next day delivery (trackable and insured)

B. Or customer provides a self-addressed envelope with their own FedEx or UPS account number

SCENARIO
    * If your applicatio arrives before 10:30am, we will deliver it to the Chinese Consulate on the Same Day. Applications arrive after 10:30am will be delivered next business day.
    * It takes Chinese Consulate 4 business days, or 2 business days or Next Day to process according to your request with different fees applied. See FEES.
    * We send back your passport w/ visa on the Same Day when we pick up your visa from the consulate
    * If you use FedEx next day, there will be another 2 days for your mail to go back and forth. If you are not in a hurry, you can use FedEx 2 day or FedEx 3 day for return. It will take a longer turn around time.
