RENEWAL PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
PASSPORT IS RENEWALABLE IF:
1. You are able to submit your most recent US passport.
2. Your most recent passport was issued in your current name.
3. Your most recent passport was issued within the past 15 years.
4. Your most recent passport was issued when you were 16 years of age or older.
DOCUMENTS
1. A Most recent U.S. passport.
2. 2 Signed Letters of Authorization. (Please call (312)388-8472 to get the Letter of Authorization)
3. 2 Identical Passport photos (2x2 with white background).
4. An Application form (DS-82 ) (Fill out the Form DS-82)
Please fill out the from online and print it out.
5. A Check for $127.00 payable to US Department of State.
6. Proof of departure date.(No need to be a real ticket. A computer generated travel itinerary is fine.)
(Your leaving date should be within 14 days for the Department of State to expedite the service.)
7. Service fee of $80 payable to Metropolitan Express (For 2-3 day service)
Or Service fee of $100 payable to Metropolitan Express for Next Business Day service.
8. A Self Addressed envelope with postage or account number for return. (FedEx, UPS, DHL, EMS are preferred.)
SCENARIO
It takes 2-3 business days (or 1 business day ) to process Passport renewal since we receive your application till we have it done and send back to you. If you use FedEx next day, DHL or EMS, there will be another 2 days for your mail to go back and forth. If you are not in a hurry, you can use FedEx 2 days, certified mail or priority mail to apply and return, though there will be a longer turnaround time.
