Instruction on Indian Visa Application


DOCUMENTS

1. A valid Passport (with at least 6 months validity left and at least 2 blank pages left.)

   If not, please see instruction on how to Renew Passport or Add Pages to your passport.
2. A completed Visa Application Form (Fill out application form online)
3. Paste one photo and staple the other one on the form at specified place.
4. A photo copy of your driver licence or State ID

5. For Non US citizens, please submit proof of long term-stay (at least three years) or a copy of US green card to expedite issuance of visa. (For Applicants, who do not normally stay in the U.S., references have to be made to their country of residence for which an additional $20 fee is applicable and will involve five to seven days processing time after receipt in the Consulate.)

6. Only if you apply for a business visa, the following 2 letters are required.

   a. An US employer letter with letterhead address to Indian Consulate, stating your name, position, purpose to visit India, the date of departure and return, the Name, Address and Phone Number of the inviting company in India.
   b. An Inviting Letter from Indian Company, stating your name, purpose to visit and visiting itinerary.

 7. Metropolitan Express Service Fee:
